I'm really pleased hair growth is definitely much more sparse than before my treatment. It also seems to be slower as normally I would have to shave within a week not over two weeks as has happened this time. I can't wait for my second session booked for June 30th at Manor Skin Spa in Sale.

I had a small reaction to the laser on my leg calf (the skin was slightly darker) where I have quite a lot of veins so decided to have my first session of Laser hair removal treatment from my knees to bikini line and under arms.
As requested I shaved my legs and underarms the day before my appointment.
As with the previous week I lay on the treatment bed after removing my trousers and top. She used towels to cover me up to help me feel completely at ease.
Caroline from Manor Skin Spa was very good at explaining what she was doing and put me completely at me ease.
She explained that about 50 to 60% of the hairs she was zapping with the laser would be effected by the treatment, as the laser only is effective on hairs that are in the 'growing' phase of the growth cycle.
After one and a half hours she had treated both legs from the knees upwards and both underarms.
As previously she applied soothing aloe vera gel and very much made me feel comfortable throughout.
At times during the treatment I felt the pricking sensation and once or twice she had to shave areas that had very fine hairs which I had not removed myself.
Had she treated those areas with hair not shaved off I would have apparently felt some burning so I was very glad Caroline spotted those areas before that happened !
Overall so far this has indeed been pain free laser hair removal !

I arrived at Manor Skin Spa, near Manchester very nervous but excited for my laser hair removal patch test.
I was warned I needed to have shaved the area to be tested the day before.
I was also warned that I shouldn't wax or epilate the areas to be treated for 8 weeks before or after.
I was also warned that I shouldn't sunbathe without factor 30+ on for at least four weeks before treatment or four weeks after.
After filling in a range of questionnaires about my medical history I was taken up to a comfortable treatment room and reviewed the questionnaire with a Manor member of staff Caroline.
I was then asked to lie on the treatment bed (after removing my top) which was very comfortable (and heated !) and asked to put on goggles to protect my eyes from the lasers.
Caroline was treating me and she put a cooling gel in the armpit she was planning to test and a small area on my left calf.
She ran the laser over the areas she was testing and I felt a mild pricking sensation - particularly on my calf.
Once she has finished running the laser over the test areas she wiped the gel off and applied some aloe vera gel.
The whole patch test took about 15mins to complete.
I then scheduled a two hour appointment for full laser hair removal to the legs and underarms the following week May 19th providing no adverse reaction to the patch test occurred.
